The Company owns, operates, acquires, renovates, develops, redevelops, and manages apartment communities in targeted markets located in the United States. The Company operates in two segments: Same-Store Communities and Non-Mature Communities/Other. The Same-Store Communities segment represent those communities acquired, developed, and stabilized. The Non-Mature Communities/Other segments represent those communities that do not meet the criteria to be included in Same-Store Communities, including, but not limited to acquired, developed and redeveloped communities, and the non-apartment components of mixed-use properties. The Company owns or has an ownership position in approximately 60,120 apartment homes.
