Unemployment Claims: The number of new unemployment benefit applications in the U.S. remained stable at 231,000 for the week ending Aug. 24, slightly below expectations, while continuing claims increased by 13,000 to 1.868 million.
Economic Growth: The second-quarter GDP growth was revised upward to 3%, surpassing previous estimates and indicating stronger economic performance compared to the first quarter's 1.4% growth.
